Angel

It's 9:30 on New Year's Eve. I'm still hurting but feel encouraged because I can move better now. I bet you didn't see me on Page 24 of the December 27th Record newspaper The Mission Record. I wore a sequin studded shawl which had the subject of a butterfly in the front. One resident, coming up to me held his hands in honour and said "I think it's an angel!"
I'm wearing an Antique Viennese Mask for Halloween. I know the residents here didn't recognize me but Laura, our activity lady caught me on camera.
If anyone is watching this I wish the best for 2014 to you and keep your fingers crossed for me to get back to my usual self please. There are no bells and whistles right now but I've always stayed up till after twelve and I'll do it tonight even if I fall asleep.
Paul (son #10) has set up this Blog for me saying even he hasn't got a blog so his eighty-nine year-old mother is ahead of him ! Yeh!
Brenda went to see Willy (my husband) who is in Long Term Care facility with Parkinson's. She tells him I've fallen and he thinks it is HIM who had fallen but seems to understand after she told him three times. I feel badly that I can't go because I've been going every other day. I'm grateful she has done that because he will understand now.
I especially wanted him to see a Christmas card from someone in Sweden because he knows he hasn't heard from them for a long time.
I've been an invisible entity since Christmas Eve. At least I've been treated like one after falling.
It wasn't like an ordinary fall.
I sat on my bed for a while before standing. Suddenly I careened across the room with an uncontrolled body and crashed into a corner of the wall.
Buzzed the Life-line and staff of this assisted living (6th. Avenue Carrington House) came, checked in with my daughter Brenda who advised Ambulance people to go Emergency. All I can type right now.
This is Mark. Doris's #8 son and helping her recover from her fall.
